History
Mack Johnson was born in Minnesota and grew up in the Roseville area. As a young child I never stopped moving and stayed active at all times. This led to an interest in fitness and health from an early age. I was always fascinated with how the body worked, and everything that it was capable of. From a young age I played numerous sports growing up including basketball, baseball, and football, and was active in Boy Scouts. My Dad fostered in me since as early as I can remember, that hard work always pays off and I believe this firmly still today. Through that hard work I was able to achieve a lot of success in high school playing basketball, becoming an Eagle Scout, earning an athletic scholarship to the University of Sioux Falls, and eventually being able to play professional basketball.
My senior year of high school I took a keen interest in eating healthier and trying to change my body in preparation for college basketball. This initial interest turned into me studying Exercise Science. Training for basketball and furthering my studies really developed my love for fitness. I graduated from The University of Sioux Falls with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Management.
Post college I knew that I wanted to take my passions for fitness, basketball, and my love for helping people and knew that training would be perfect. I trained at a small studio initially and loved every second of it. Being able to educate people, guide them towards their goals, and seeing them succeed and transform their lives makes it all worth it. All of this resulted in Mack Attack Fitness being born aiming to help young athletes and adults!
